ADMISSION and TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
MEMBERS (MBIPDT)

Access Route 1
Application for membership will be considered by the Board of Governors from persons of good character employed professionally as:
(a) Service dog handlers (Police, Armed Forces, Guide Dogs, Customs etc.)
(b) By others who have the relevant knowledge and experience to qualify for full membership.

Access Route 2
By qualification: Persons who have obtained an 'Advanced' Certificate on the Institute's Instructors Courses. This will only be granted to those whom the Board consider to, in addition to their qualification, have the relevant knowledge and experience to qualify.

Access Route 3
Transfer from Associate Membership: By application to the Board of Governors after a period of three years. This should be accompanied by documentary evidence of enhanced experience. (Courses attended, qualifications gained and practical experience.)
